Valentin Perevozchikov was born on July 2, 1941 in St.
Petersburg. In 1958 he finished the secondary school of
Krasnogorsky region in Moscow area. From 1959 till 1960
he studied in higher art school named after Stroganov -
Stroganovka. In 1965-1970 he continued studying in the
pedagogical Institute at the department of arts and
design in Kastroma. He also developed his skill learning
from art masters in Moscow and Tbilisi.
He spent a lot of time in the galleries of Munich, Vienna
and Berne, where he got acquainted with the works and
techniques of the great masters. He found his own style.
One of most favorite themes is the sea and its movement.
The dynamics of colors provides his pictures with great
tension. He likes holidays and festivals, and as far as
these and in particular carnival are concerned, he depicts
them with great detail, paying attention to the smallest
parts. In his realistic pictures he uses the method of
pointillism, where the colors painted in smallest points
seem to vibrate. Drawing avant-garde pictures he uses
thick brushes to reflect the color. The world for him is
diverse and has plenty of facets therefore his different
works almost never look alike.
